Below please find some basic notes that will explain Bank of Little Rock Mortgage’s internal policy regarding appraisers. Also provided is a link that will take you to the full appraisal regulations.

To be completely removed:

The appraiser can request to be removed.

If underwriting finds flaws which require a second appraisal (only allowed by adequate documentation by the underwriter and is extremely rare), we would document the appraiser’s file, and upon adequate documentation over a period of time we could discuss the possibility of the removal from appraiser rotation.

To be removed from specific counties/zip codes:

The appraiser can request to be removed from specific counties/zip codes

If it is determined that there are more than an adequate number of appraisers in a particular area, our Encompass/Compliance Administrator can speak with appraisers to determine if removing them from specific counties/zip codes is acceptable.

To be added to our rotation schedule, we need the following:

Resume, Current License, Sample FHA Appraisal, Sample Conventional Appraisal, Coverage Area (Counties and/or specific zip codes) & the appraiser’s current E&O Insurance

Once these items are received, they will be reviewed by Terra Hartsfield, and appraisers will be added at her discretion.
